The following are the most popular rifles coming out of GT Accuracy in recent times.
Customers seeking a hyper accurate, maxing out around 800 yards, look no further than the 6mm BR. Built on any applicable action, even though we recommend the Borden family of products, the 6mm BR is just easy. We recommend the following:
- 6mm BR
- No Turn .272 Neck
- Borden BRM or BRMXD for bench rifles. Borden Mountaineer for repeater rifles.
- Brux, Krieger, or Bartlien 8 twist barrels at least 26 inches long.
This outfit above give the shooter an unbelievably wide range of excellent bullets and accuracy levels that can't be beat unless shooting 200 yards and under with the 6 PPC. Note, this build is not for shooters seeking maximum speeds.
Stretching the rifles legs to 1000 yards while maintaining the pinnacle of accuracy is the 6mm Dasher. Easy to load with the new Alpha 6mm Dasher brass, a shooter can be punching chucks at 1000 yards with minimal effort. Like it's little cousin, the 6mm BR, the Dasher doesn't win any speed prizes. However, good shooters should be able to hold 1/2 MOA at 1000 yards with a little practice.
- 6mm Dasher
- No Turn .272 Neck with Lapua brass, .275 with Alpha brass
- Borden BRM or BRMXD for bench rifles. Borden Mountaineer for repeater rifles.
- Brux, Krieger, or Bartlein 8 twist barrels at least 26 inches long.
Varmint hunters, especially prairie dog and woodchuck hunters, love speed. As such, the following two builds are kinds of speed within their respective calibers. First, the 6mm AI. This chamber as long been our recommendation for a "one gun for all" builds. It is lighting fast, versatile, and has a longer neck then the 243 Win cases. This aids in reducing rapid throat erosion. The brass is not easy to prepare. If you aren't well seasoned on brass prep, call us for brass made for your chamber.
- 6mm Ackley Improved
- Turned .274 Neck
- Borden BRM or BRMXD for bench rifles. Borden Mountaineer Long Action for repeater rifles.
- Brux, Krieger, or Bartlein 8 twist barrels at least 26 inches long.
- Maximum speed is a 14 Twist, 30 inch or longer barrel for the 75 and 65 grain bullets.
Lastly, the 300 WSM Varminter. A brainchild of former gunsmith, now retired, Richard Fanklin in the late 2000's.This chambering is HIGHLY SPECIFIC. It is limited in bullet size and barrel twist. However, if you want to see a woodchuck flip over and hang his hat on the fence post, this is your build. We build this rifles with only 15 and 17 twist barrels and they are heavy. We only recommend them for bench mounted shooting.
- 300 WSM Varminter
- Turn .337 Neck
- Borden BRM or BRMXD for bench rifles.
- Brux, Krieger, or Bartlien 17 twist barrels at least 30 inches long with straight taper.
- Built for the 110 grain Hornaday V-Max and 125 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Bullets
